About

From making bases on the pitch to making life count — my journey from athlete to advisor to coach

Growing up in Singapore, I followed the well‑trodden path: study hard, excel at sports to boost my academic prospects, get into a good university and secure a stable job. For a long time, that blueprint defined my choices.

My Early Years

Softball was my passion and lifeline. It taught me discipline, teamwork and the thrill of competition. I played at a high level and even coached younger players. But my devotion to the sport left little room to think about what I wanted beyond the field.

Going with the Flow

Although I dreamed of a sporting career, I chose business at university to keep my options open. My first job was in corporate restructuring—fast‑paced and exhilarating—but I soon realised I was chasing promotions and credentials without a clear sense of purpose, guiding companies through crises while neglecting my own direction.

A Turning Point

On my 32nd birthday I finally recognised the nagging discomfort that had built up over the years. I realised I had spent much of my life chasing external validation and ignoring my own desires. That realisation pushed me to confront difficult questions and choose a more authentic path.

The Journey That Followed

Since that birthday I began a journey of self‑discovery and turned to coaching to help navigate a more authentic life. The experience was so transformative that I decided to become a life coach myself. I also moved from Singapore to London in late 2024—a new country, job and environment. The transition was challenging but gave me space to reset and reconnect with what matters.

Lessons Learned

  • Excellence through discipline: Years as an athlete taught me the power of discipline, hard work and leadership. Applying the same discipline intentionally to everyday life allows me to pursue excellence on my own terms.
  • Balance & ownership: Softball taught me the importance of balance. Neglecting my studies to focus solely on sports had consequences. Progress requires confronting the “little knots” that hold us back, not avoiding them.
  • The courage to question: For years I resisted soul‑searching. I’ve learned that the questions we avoid are often the most important. True fulfilment comes from having the courage to confront our uncertainties and desires.

Where I Am Today

My experiences as an athlete, student, corporate professional and life coach have shaped my unique perspective. I’m passionate about helping others navigate their own journeys, find their own answers and create lives that feel authentic and fulfilling.
